Periodontal Pockets Treatment

When periodontopathic disease progresses without treatment, periodontal pockets start to develop. These pathological changes, shaped in the form of pockets are formed by gingivitis advancing, due to destruction of periodontal tissues.
After basic treatment (cleaning and polishing) we commence processing of periodontal pockets, a therapeutic procedure that serves to eliminate or substantially reduce pathologically modified periodontal tissues.
Depending on location and other characteristics of periodontal pockets, we may resort to their treatment (curettage) or surgical treatment (flap gum surgery).
