Ridge Leveling

The alveolar ridge leveling is a procedure to correct irregularities of the ridge in the upper and lower jaw in order to create quality and comfortable dental prosthetics. It is part of the jaw containing cups – alveolus in which the teeth reside. After teeth removal, it often comes to resorption of the part of the jawbone which leads to irregularities in its shape which later leads to difficulties in installation of implants, bone regeneration or wearing of braces.

The procedure doesn’t last long and is performed under local anesthesia. A short period of time is necessary for the wound to heal before dentures can be installed. The leveling may be performed during the installation of implants and is often performed immediately after tooth removal, especially after multiple removals.
